Dominical, Costa Rica

On the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica is one of the country's most beautiful uncut gems, Dominical. From its turquoise green water to its fiery red and gold sunsets, the natural beauty of the area is second to none. The town sits on the Pacific ocean bordered to the north by the Rio Baru, on the east by three thousand foot high mountains and to the south by dark, coffee brown, beaches and coves. One of the most striking features of Dominical can be found while swimming in the water, the town simply disappears. All you see are the tall beach palms and mangroves surrounded by verdant green hills reaching up into the mountains.

RETREAT LOCATION:
Bamboo YogaPlay ~ A Sanctuary for Living Artfully

Bamboo YogaPlay is located in Playa Dominical, Costa Rica, on the pacific coast, three and a half hours south of San Jose International Airport and two hours from the Osa Peninsula. We are in the heart of a cute little beach town conveniently situated minutes from local accommodations, amenities and the beach. Dominical and surrounding areas are famous for surfing, rain forest zip-line tours, waterfalls, snorkeling and scuba-diving. Bamboo YogaPlay was built on top of a recycled container home, made from shipping containers and bamboo. This 1200 square foot dance floor lends itself for large groups of participants and plenty of open space to explore and play in. The high standing roof creates shade from the hot sun and tropical rains, sloping from one end to the other. The roof reaches 14ft at the highest end inviting plenty of natural light and airflow to fill the space. We have a stunning view of the river and ocean from Bamboo YogaPlay. Verdant greenery surrounds us. Although we are in the heart of Dominical, Bamboo offers a safe haven, protected from the bustle and outside distractions.
